Win-Loss

Win-Loss connects your deal outcomes to your competitive signals. Log wins, losses, and no-decisions against specific competitors and Maneuvr surfaces patterns -- which reasons cluster together, which competitor moves coincide with a run of losses, and where to update your battlecard.

Capturing deal outcomes

There are three ways to log a deal outcome.

Manual entry

Go to Win-Loss and click Log outcome. The form takes under a minute:

  • Competitor (create inline if they're not in your workspace yet)
  • Outcome: Won / Lost / No decision
  • Reason codes (required for Lost and No decision)
  • Segment, region, deal size, currency, close date
  • Notes or a buyer quote

API ingest

Push outcomes directly from your CRM or a spreadsheet script using the REST API. Requires an API key with the write:deal_outcomes scope. See REST API.

Document extraction

Upload a sales call transcript, Gong summary, or CRM notes to the win-loss pipeline. Maneuvr reads the document, extracts deal-outcome drafts, and presents them for your review. Nothing is saved automatically -- you import each draft individually.

Reason codes

When logging a lost deal or no-decision, select one or more reason codes. These are standardised so Maneuvr can aggregate patterns across deals.

CodeWhat it means
PriceLost on cost or pricing structure
Missing featureThey had a capability you don't
Integration gapMissing a required integration
Messaging / positioningTheir story landed better
Product maturityPerception of product stability or completeness
Relationship / incumbentExisting relationship or contract held them in place
Timing / no budgetDeal wasn't actually in-market
Lost to status quoThey decided to do nothing
OtherAnything that doesn't fit the above

Win-Loss panel

The panel on each competitor's detail page shows aggregate results across all logged deals:

  • Total outcomes: won / lost / no decision
  • Win rate
  • Top 5 loss reasons ranked by frequency
  • Segment breakdown

This panel is available on all paid plans.

Correlations (Team plan and above)

The Correlations tab runs a synthesis against your deal outcomes and competitor signals. It identifies whether specific loss reasons coincide with competitor moves in the period leading up to those losses.

Running a correlation costs 3 credits.

Minimum data requirements: Maneuvr needs at least 5 total outcomes for the competitor, and at least one reason code cited by 3 or more lost deals, before it will run a synthesis. If your data is below the threshold, no credits are charged.

Important: Maneuvr surfaces correlations, not causes. The synthesis identifies patterns worth investigating -- it never claims a competitor's move caused a deal loss.

Each correlation card shows:

  • The reason and how many losses it appears in
  • A confidence level (Low / Medium / High)
  • A one-line insight
  • A recommended action
  • Linked competitor events with dates

Battlecard suggestions

From the Correlations tab, click Suggest battlecard updates to get AI-proposed edits to the competitor's battlecard -- specifically the "How we win / lose" and objection handling sections. Proposals go through the standard review pipeline; you accept or discard each one. Accepted suggestions clear the battlecard staleness flag.

Frequently asked questions

Does win-loss data feed into digests? Yes. Win-loss patterns appear in the executive digest when you've logged enough outcomes.

Can I delete a logged outcome? Yes. Delete from the win-loss list or the competitor's outcome panel. Deletions are audit-logged.

What document formats does extraction support? PDF, DOCX, TXT, and plain text paste. Maneuvr parses the content and extracts structured drafts -- you review before anything is saved.

Is deal data visible to all workspace members? Yes. Deal outcomes are workspace-scoped. All members with at least viewer access can see the win-loss panel.
