Battlecards

A battlecard is a structured, AI-drafted document covering everything your team needs to compete against a specific competitor. Every competitor in your workspace has one.

What's in a battlecard

SectionWhat it covers
Positioning summaryHow the competitor positions and who they target
Strengths and weaknessesEvidence-backed, drawn from collected signals and your uploaded context
How we winWhere you have a clear advantage
How we loseWhere they beat you and how to respond
Objection handlingSpecific objections reps hear and how to counter them
Recent movesLast 5-10 high-importance events with dates and sources
Pricing snapshotUpdated when Maneuvr detects a pricing page change
Sources citedEvery claim links back to a source URL

Battlecard index

The Battlecards page shows a card for every tracked competitor. Each card displays:

  • Threat level badge
  • Last updated timestamp
  • "N new events since last update" -- the staleness warning

Sort modes:

  • Threat (default) -- critical first, then by new events
  • Stale -- oldest battlecards first; good for a regular refresh sweep
  • Fresh -- most new events since last update

AI autofill

When you add a new competitor, Maneuvr scrapes their website (homepage, about, pricing, blog) and drafts the battlecard automatically. Fields populated by AI are flagged in the UI so you know what to review.

Manual edits you make are preserved when you regenerate -- autofill never overwrites something you've typed yourself.

Regenerating a battlecard

Click Regenerate on any card in the index (or from the entity detail page) to refresh the battlecard against the latest signals and sources. Regenerating costs 1 credit.

Staleness alerts

When new competitor activity outpaces the current battlecard, Maneuvr surfaces a "N new events since last update" count on the card. Sort by Stale to find battlecards that most need a refresh before a deal.

Sharing a battlecard

Any battlecard can be shared as a public, read-only link -- no login required. This is the fastest way to get competitive context to a sales rep mid-deal.

To generate a share link: open the battlecard and click Share. Toggle the link on to create a token and copy the URL. Revoke the token at any time from the entity settings.

Share links are available on all plans.

Win-loss integration

If you've uploaded win-loss documents or logged deal outcomes, Maneuvr injects that evidence into the How we win / lose and Objection handling sections automatically. See Win-Loss for more.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit the battlecard manually? Yes. Any field can be edited directly. Manual edits are preserved when you run autofill or regenerate -- only blank or AI-filled fields are overwritten.

How often does the battlecard update? Only when you click Regenerate or run Autofill. The nightly run collects new events and updates the staleness indicator, but does not automatically rewrite the battlecard.

Can I export a battlecard? Use the Draft export button to download a Markdown summary. For sharing with sales, the public link is usually faster.
